This student role supports the Cenovus WWRP HSEQ team to ensure the project meets assigned goals and objectives related to HSEQ performance.
The individual in this position is responsible for providing support to the project HSEQ team during the construction of the West White Rose Platform Project. The student will be exposed to many practical Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality construction functions during their work term.
We are looking for a keen learner candidate who thrives working in a fast-paced and diverse environment.

Responsibilities
Construction site visits.
Assist with inspections and incident investigations.
Manage and review documents (i.e.: data entry, taking minutes, filing etc.).
Manage data and updates to the iAuditor verification tool.
Analyze site-specific trends and incidents and report findings.
Participate in Quality audits and inspections
Support Quality team in reviewing construction quality records
Prepare Construction Turnover packages
Maintain and report on Quality Performance Indicators
Gather/review/distribute safety-related statistical information and safety alerts.
Participate in auditing performance of contractor\xe2\x80\x99s safety management system.
Participate in hazard and risk assessments.
Interpret, communicate, and reinforce project safety standards to workforce.
Qualifications
Legally entitled to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., work visa)
Available to begin work in May, 2024

The individual is self-motivated to ensure the timely completion of project requirements.
Possess excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Education
Must be enrolled in an Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health or Safety Program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of the intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term
Candidates currently enrolled in either a Masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered
New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities.
