To ensure that the Ontario Student Assistance Program is administered at King's University College within the policies and procedures as outlined by the Federal and Provincial Governments.
Responsible for keeping files current and maintaining an organized filing system of all student transactions while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.
Assist in the administration, reconciliation and reporting for all A/R accounts.
Disburses petty cash and processes various forms of payments at counter.
Makes collection calls by telephone ensuring calls are handled professionally and tactfully. Continue to follow-up until the account is collected or transferred to a collection agency.
Assist with presentations to students and parents related to general budgeting, and funding for post-secondary education.
QUALIFICATIONS:
College diploma in Finance/Accounting or related experience required.
1-2-year previous work experience in related position
Prior experience with the Canada Student Loan Program and Ontario/Provincial Student loan Program and the policies involved with administering them would be an asset.
Experience with A/R collection and/or accounting would be beneficial
Must have the abilities to effectively communicate with both internal and external parties
Advanced knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Office products and database applications is required
High level of organizational skills required.
Ability to work and think quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic office environment.
TYPE OF JOB:
Full Time Contract (35 hours per week until January 15, 2027)

SALARY RANGE:
SSG 7- $51,693 - $62,982 per annum (dependant upon experience)
