The Role
The Cameco Technical Services team is looking for a student who thrives on tackling diverse challenges in a unique environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to the Saskatchewan mining operations.
In this role you will:

  • Assist with researching, creating, and implementing detailed preventive maintenance plans focused on Reliability and Mechanical Integrity.
  • Assist in analyzing equipment failures and determining strategies for preventing future failures.
  • Review inspection reports and recommendations to help determine corrective actions related to fixed and rotating equipment.
  • Create reports and presentations to present failure modes, proposed corrective actions, celebrate successes and detail improvements.
  • Learn new skills related to equipment reliability and integrity across multiple operations using advanced analytical tools and software.
  • Work a two week on/two week off rotational schedule and commute to Northern SK sites by aircraft
Required:
  • You are entering your third or fourth year as a university student specializing in mechanical engineering, structural engineering, or a related field
  • You must be returning to school for the academic semester following your work term with Cameco
Recommended:
  • Excellent communication, data analysis and compilation, and organization skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
