Student Care Attendant Accessibility Services

Job Description
Reporting to the Manager of Accessibility Services, the Student Care Attendant will support students with care needs living in UPEI residences as well as other project-based work.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Providing on site overnight, live in assistance and, when necessary, attending to personal needs of students with special medical or physical challenges including personal care and mobility as required Responding to medical needs of students, monitoring and engaging further medical support if needed Documenting activities and incidents Other duties as required within the scope of the classification
QUALIFICATIONS:
Grade 12/GED Good physical condition and capability First Aid/CPR trained Must possess and exhibit a positive and caring attitude towards the special needs of students, and be able to work collaboratively with support teams * Provide Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check and have no past or present criminal record which would be detrimental in working in an environment with vulnerable adults.
