The Department of Chemistry is seeking teaching assistant(s) to help with the delivery of 2 lab sections for Analytical Chemistry 18.262 (Mondays and Wednesday afternoons).
1. TA(s) will be assisting with instruction and delivery of course laboratory material.
2. Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound judgment with respect to lab safety and analytical techniques.
3. Strong attention to detail, self-motivated and willingness to engage with students to provide guidance and feedback.
4. Be familiar with WHIMIS, follow safety guidelines.
6. Help setup of laboratories, under the guidance of the course instructor, and other relevant duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience:
Education:
1. Preference will be given to upper year Brandon University Chemistry student(s) having successfully completed Analytical Chemistry (18.262) and Instrumental Analysis (18.362).
2. Have a good academic standing and demonstrated understanding of 18.262 course materials.
Experience
1. Some advanced training or experience in chemical analysis is preferred.
2. Specialized training in instrumentation, data analysis, or relevant work experience (eg. summer research, industry/co-op) will be considered and asset.
