The Comptroller's Office is looking to hire a Student Assistant for the 2025-26 academic year.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working within the Comptroller's Office, this position will be responsible for the following duties:

• Preparation of financial analysis and reports with attention to details and deadlines, including:

• Data queries using various software
• Account analysis and reconciliations
• Preparation of journal entries
• Preparation of year-end working papers
• Support year-end audit processes
• Provide support to budget processes, including:

• Preparation of budget reports
• Preparation of budget changes
• Other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current McDougall Faculty of Business student with a focus in accounting
• Experience working in an office environment would be considered an asset
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - verbal and written
• Ability to remember numerous details, both qualitative and quantitative
• Proficiency in spreadsheets, data analysis software and other business software

Priority will be given to University of Prince Edward Island students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and the Procedures manual.
