Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Plasterer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastering techniques and the ability to work on various projects, ensuring high-quality finishes. As a Plasterer, you will be responsible for applying plaster to walls and ceilings, creating smooth surfaces, and contributing to the overall aesthetics of residential and commercial properties.

Duties

Apply plaster to walls and ceilings using trowels, brushes, or spray equipment. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or applying bonding agents as necessary. Mix plaster according to specifications for optimal consistency and performance. Repair damaged plaster surfaces by patching or reapplying plaster as needed. Collaborate with other construction professionals, including carpenters and drywall installers, to ensure project timelines are met. Read and interpret blueprints to understand project requirements and specifications. Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the duration of each project. Adhere to safety standards and protocols while working on-site.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Plasterer or in a similar role within the construction industry. Strong skills in maintenance person tasks including drywall installation, caulking, and construction painting. Ability to read blueprints and understand technical drawings. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Physical stamina for lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. A background in carpentry is considered an asset but not mandatory.
