A career as a Manager in the team of Franchise Finance at National Bank is to act as forefront of underwriting and structuring complex hotel financing transactions. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, guide clients through the financing process, and help shape the future of franchise lending in Canada. Your job

Loan Structuring & UnderwritingLead the evaluation and underwriting of hotel financing transactions, ensuring alignment with internal policies and regulatory standards. Structure customized financing solutions that meet the unique needs of each client and project.


Financial & Market AnalysisConduct in-depth financial modeling, cash flow projections, and risk assessments. Stay ahead of market trends, industry benchmarks, and competitive dynamics to inform decision-making.


Client EngagementServe as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them through the financing process with clarity and confidence. Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders in the hospitality sector.


Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner with internal teams including sales, legal, credit risk, and operations to ensure seamless execution of deals. Mentor junior team members and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and excellence.


Strategic ReportingPrepare and present detailed reports and recommendations to senior leadership, highlighting key insights and deal performance.

Basic requirements

Hold a diploma or bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, or a related field and minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial loan underwriting, with a focus on hotel or hospitality financing. Hold MBA or CFA designation is a strong asset. Experience in managing high-value, complex transactions. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
