Partner Staffing on behalf of our client, We are seeking an experienced Structural Technologist to join our Calgary team, working with a diverse portfolio of public and private sector clients. The successful candidate will focus on bridges, municipal structures, and other transportation-related infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-profile projects that support the development and maintenance of critical infrastructure.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and manage detailed structural drawings, designs, and calculations for bridges, municipal structures, and transportation-related infrastructure.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and other technical staff to develop innovative, cost-effective, and code-compliant solutions
  • Assist in the development of structural plans, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Conduct field investigations, site inspections, and structural assessments to support design and rehabilitation projects.
  • Coordinate with municipal, provincial, and private clients to ensure projects meet regulatory and quality standards.
  • Mentor junior technologists and provide guidance on best practices in structural design and drafting.
  • Support the preparation of tender documents and assist in project cost estimation and scheduling.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • 7+ years of experience as a Structural Technologist, preferably with a focus on bridges, municipal structures, or transportation infrastructure.
  • Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field; P.Tech or CET designation is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of structural design codes and standards (e.g., Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code, CSA standards).
  • Proficient in structural design software (AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, or equivalent).
  • Strong technical writing, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience with public sector and private sector clients is highly desirable.
