Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our team at Mississauga Iron. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating steel stairs and railings according to specifications, ensuring quality and efficiency in every project. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our mission of delivering top-notch steel solutions.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications. Utilize various hand tools, power tools, and machinery for steel fabrication. Weld components together using appropriate techniques to ensure structural integrity. Assemble fabricated parts according to specifications and quality standards. Operate forklifts, cranes and other equipment safely during the fabrication process. Perform torch cutting as required. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Fabricator or similar role in the steel industry. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various tools and machinery. Familiarity with welding techniques and safety practices. Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately. Experience with plasma cutting and press brake machines is a plus. Forklift certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Job Specifications:

FCAW/MCAW experience desired (CWB certification) Candidates with no tickets but a minimum of 5 years experience will be considered. Must be Team oriented. Full benefits after 3 months.
