Patrick Mechanical Ltd. is a Sudbury based mechanical contracting company founded in 1989. Over the years, we have established ourselves in the industrial, commercial and institutional contracting fields. Our specialties include mechanical contracting, custom steel fabrication, plumbing, heating, process piping, millwright and related services.

We are pleased to offer the full time permanent position of Structural Fitter.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ability to interpret drawings, work orders, fabrication processes, structural steel, materials, and other documentation associated with production

Strong mathematical capability and layout skills

Extensive knowledge of the standard methods, materials and equipment used in the fitting, structural steel trades.

Knowledge and understanding of the operation of shop tools

Handle Materials - within the shop and outdoors as required

Operate Basic Hand Tools and Powered Hand Tools. i.e. Drills, Disc Grinders etc.

Manually lifting weights between 20-50 lbs.

Following all workplace safety policies and compliance regulations

Working in a fast-paced environment

Paying high attention to detail

Ability to pay close attention to detail and examine work for defects and measure work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications.

Willing to work overtime, day, afternoon and shift work as required and committed to doing what is necessary to ensure duties are completed.

Proper precautions, housekeeping and safety upheld at all times

Performs related duties as required.

Qualification & Experience*

Red Seal Metal Fabricator (Fitter)

Good attention to detail and results oriented

Strong sense of teamwork.

Valid Driver's License

Work Conditions*
