A-1 Machine and Welding in Vernon, BC is looking for an experienced detailer/structrual engineer to join the team. This is a permanent full time position. **Candidate MUST have experience with reading structural steel drawings and experience with structural steel projects. ** Job description \xc2\xb7 Detailing \xc2\xb7 Help with material take offs \xc2\xb7 Verify fabrication drawings and reports. \xc2\xb7 Review RFI recommendations and clarify RFI recommendations \xc2\xb7 Consult and supply design alterations to connection engineer as necessary. \xc2\xb7 Examine Tekla models to ensure they follow structural and architectural design drawings \xc2\xb7 Review connections to ensure conformity with specifications. Requirements The candidate must: \xc2\xb7 Have previous structural steel detailing. \xc2\xb7 Have experience with Tekla software and be proficient with this software. \xc2\xb7 Know and understand how steel structure and connections work. \xc2\xb7 Have excellent written and verbal English skills.
-High level of knowledge of industry standard detailing practices. Assets (not but required): \xc2\xb7 Estimating experience in structural estimating. \xc2\xb7 Experience with Autocad software.
