The Role: Structural Engineer
Reporting directly to the Executive Team.
What Success Looks Like
Providing accurate, code-compliant structural designs, calculations, and stamped drawings for a wide variety of timber projects.
Collaborating seamlessly with designers, project coordinators, fabricators, and installers to ensure engineering solutions are practical and buildable.
Supporting projects from concept through installation by answering RFIs, troubleshooting field challenges, and refining structural details when needed.
Developing and improving standard engineering details, templates, and processes that streamline operations and enhance quality.
Staying current with timber-specific building codes, sustainability standards, and engineering best practices to continuously elevate our work.
Qualifications
2-5 years of structural engineering experience.
Possess P.Eng. designation.
Member of a Professional Engineers Association (PE, SE, P. Eng., Struct. Eng or other equivalent)
Proficiency with structural design software (RISA, WoodWorks, RFEM, etc.) and CAD tools (Cadwork, Revit, or SketchUp).
Strong knowledge of timber design codes and standards (NDS, CSA, Eurocodes).
Experience working with fabrication or construction teams is an asset.
Excellent communication, problem-solving ability, and a passion for sustainable, wood-based construction.
