What you can expect to do here:
  • Deliver complete structural designs and precise calculations for complex buildings and industrial structures.
  • Take ownership of technical decisions and stand behind your engineering expertise.
  • Lead design management while collaborating with senior engineers to ensure innovative, high-quality solutions.
  • Work closely with multiple disciplines to bring projects from concept to reality.
  • Craft and review detailed technical reports and construction specifications that set the standard for excellence.
  • Conduct site investigations and inspections, evaluating existing structures to inform smart engineering solutions.
  • Engage directly with clients through project meetings, field reviews, and occasional travel to diverse sites.
  • Embrace opportunities to tackle additional challenges and expand your impact.
What you'll bring to WSP:
  • Must be a registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in BC.
  • More than 8 years of relevant experience in the design of concrete and steel structures in Canada. Possess in depth or broad knowledge, skills and practices for industrial projects.
  • Have design experience of industrial structures in Canada,
  • Ability to work and complete tasks independently, make decisions and take responsibility on technical matters. Work with minimal direction.
  • Proficiency in application of Canadian Codes and Standards.
  • Proficiency in structural design software S-Frame, Staad Pro, or SAP.
  • Experience working with clients and contractors directly.
Compensation:
Salary range (in British Columbia): $93,459.20 - $175,899.90
The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. The salary range provided in this job posting may be subject to change for business purposes.
