Job Description

WestCorp Solutions is seeking a Structural Engineer to support our client at their site west of Saskatoon, SK. This role provides technical engineering support focused on structural integrity, inspection, and repair coordination within an industrial environment. The successful candidate will develop work packages, support field execution teams, and ensure structural work meets all applicable codes, standards, and client specifications.

Schedule:

9/80 - 7:00am-4:00pm (Mon-Thu), 7:00am-3:00pm on short-week Thursdays; alternating Fridays off

Contract Duration:

12-month initial duration

January 2026

Key Responsibilities

Develop technical scopes of work and create work packages for structural deficiencies. Coordinate structural repair plans and ensure alignment with project and maintenance teams. Conduct structural inspections, document findings, and prepare technical reports. Provide structural integrity support to Trades, Supervisors, Planners, Engineers, Operations, and Project groups. Ensure structural designs, repairs, and installations comply with engineering codes, standards, regulations, and client specifications. Maintain adherence to Corporate Structural Integrity Guidance Documents. Collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders to support safe and effective execution of structural work.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 3+ years of experience. Note: Stamping of engineering designs is not required for this role. Strong commitment to safety, with proven safety leadership. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to engage effectively at all levels. Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. High attention to detail with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and structural analysis/design software such as STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, or equivalent. General Mine Safety Awareness certification Experience with 3D modeling and design software and previous experience in potash, mining, oil & gas, or other heavy industrial settings are considered assets
