We are seeking an

Intermediate Structural Engineer

to join our Kelowna team.



You thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and excel at delivering high-quality structural design work. Allnorth will rely on you to plan, coordinate, and execute structural projects while mentoring junior team members and representing Allnorth with clients.



Success in this role looks like high-quality technical output, strong project leadership, and building trusted relationships with colleagues, clients, and contractors.


A Day in the Life




Lead preliminary and detailed design for heavy industrial structures, including concrete foundations, steel structures, and bridges. Oversee structural analysis, calculations, estimates, design reviews, proposal inputs, and technical reporting. Provide technical guidance to EITs and designers, ensuring high-quality drawing packages and specifications. Conduct structural assessments and inspections, delivering clear and actionable findings. Collaborate directly with clients, contractors, and internal teams to clarify requirements and align expectations. Develop work plans that outline schedule, milestones, risk factors, and quality controls. Monitor project budgets, timelines, and scope -- proactively resolving issues before they escalate.



What You'll Bring to the Team




Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. Registered (or eligible to register) as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in BC. 7+ years of structural engineering and project management experience. Strong familiarity with CSA Standards, National Building Code, and BC Building Code. Experience with structural design software such as RISA 3D, S-Frame, and S-Concrete. Proven ability to prepare technical reports, correspondence, and proposals with strong written clarity. Effective communicator with strong presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively while mentoring junior engineers and designers. Excellent organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
