We are a well-established multidisciplinary engineering firm known for our involvement in innovative and complex building projects. With a strong presence in the Ottawa region, we are looking to expand our team with a passionate Structural Engineer eager to work on unique and unconventional projects.

As a Structural Engineer/designer, you will be actively involved in the design, analysis, and management of special structural projects under the supervision of a senior engineer. You'll work on a wide range of assignments including:

Architecturally complex structures Rehabilitation of heritage buildings Design of modular or temporary structures Integration of unconventional materials Projects with high architectural value or unique technical constraints

Key Responsibilities:



Participate in the design and structural analysis of buildings (steel, concrete, wood, masonry, etc.) Prepare technical drawings and specifications in collaboration with the drafting team Perform or oversee structural capacity calculations Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines Conduct site inspections and prepare technical reports Provide creative solutions to non-standard engineering challenges Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, standards, and regulations in Ontario and Quebec

Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on structural design Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or soon to be with the Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) or eligible for registration ou a la fin du process. 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in building structures (in consulting engineering or architecture firms) Proficient with structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, S Concrete, SP Slabs, SAFE, S-Frame) and drafting tools (AutoCAD, Revit) Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (French and/or bilingualism is an asset) Technical rigor, curiosity, and strong analytical thinking Interest in innovative, non-traditional, or complex structural projects
