Krahn Engineering is seeking an

Intermediate Structural Engineer

to join our Structural Division in

Edmonton, AB

. This position will play a key role in structural design and calculations, preparing drawings and construction services.

Responsibilities

Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of municipal, residential, commercial, and industrial projects, including existing buildings and structures Complete structural calculations and prepare and edit structural specifications Review engineering design for compliance with established codes, standards, and specifications; provides technical support to designers and drafters Prepare reports and other technical documentation as required by the client Communicate with clients, vendors, and contractors Support senior staff with inter-discipline coordination, project reporting, and structural analysis and design Provide general project coordination services Coordinate with technical staff in preparation of contract drawings and documents and other work tasks Coordinate structural designs and documents with other disciplines (Architectural, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Landscaping, etc.) Provide structural engineering support during construction, attend site meetings, and carry out field reviews Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

P.Eng or registered as an EIT Degree in Structural Engineering Minimum 3-5 years of related work experience Good verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills Self-starter and team player A valid driver's license
