As a Street Ambassador, you will gain valuable experience in community engagement while helping to keep Old St. Vital clean and beautiful. You will have the opportunity to build your communication skills by interacting directly with local business owners and community members, support events and initiatives, and contribute to creating a vibrant, welcoming environment. Responsibilities
Connect with local business owners and help promote a friendly, safe neighbourhood
Remove graffiti and maintain a clean streetscape
Pick up litter and assist with zone beautification efforts
Create and share engaging content on social media
Support special events
Update business listings and other relevant reports
Assist with general office administration
Other duties assigned to support the success of the BIZ and its initiatives
Qualifications
Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and refugee Protection, who is legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial legislation and regulations
Ability to adhere to safety procedures determined by the Board and the City of Winnipeg
Ability to work with a team and work independently
Demonstrate a strong commitment to attendance and reliability
Holding a valid driver's license is a requirement
Effective communication skills
You must be able to lift 30 lbs.
