Were looking for a news editor to join the Strategy team to plan, assign and edit daily stories, and distribute the publications email newsletter.
The news editor will work with other editors and reporters to identify the issues, trends and ideas that would be most relevant to our readers. The news editor will also be tasked with generating short- and long-term story ideas, including developing enterprise story ideas and coordinating comprehensive coverage, as well as personally contributing stories to Strategys daily digital coverage and to its print product, planning the daily lineup for Strategys newsletter, managing reporters by assigning stories and editing their work, expanding Strategys scope of coverage, and contributing at times to Media in Canada.
This is a full-time position at a leading business publication and events company. The Strategy and Media in Canada teams are currently working in a hybrid model, splitting our time between working from home and two days per week in our downtown Toronto office. Qualifications
