Position Summary
The Strategy Intern for Hydrogen Initiatives at Washington Gas will support the company\'s efforts to explore and develop its hydrogen initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with the Hydrogen Initiatives team to conduct market research, analyze industry trends, evaluate potential partnerships and investment opportunities, and assist in developing a strategic roadmap for the company\'s hydrogen initiatives. This position is a great opportunity for someone interested in the energy industry and looking to gain valuable experience in corporate strategy development.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitors, and potential partnerships and investment opportunities in the hydrogen industry.
  • Develop and maintain a database of hydrogen-related information, including regulations, industry standards, technology developments, and key stakeholders.
  • Support the development of a strategic roadmap for the company\'s hydrogen initiatives, including identifying potential areas for investment and partnerships.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other materials related to the company\'s hydrogen initiatives.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and projects related to hydrogen initiatives, providing insights and recommendations based on research and analysis.
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
  • Must be currently enrolled in a graduate-level program in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in the energy industry and sustainable energy solutions.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to gather and synthesize complex information.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively present information to various audiences.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Must be able to work 20-40 hours per week.
  • Experience with hydrogen-related technologies and industry standards.
  • Knowledge of the regulatory landscape for hydrogen fuel.
  • Previous internship or work experience in a related field.
