Position Overview:
Finning is seeking a strategic and results-driven Strategy Execution Manager, Mining to support the development, alignment, and execution of long-term strategic priorities within our Mining division. Reporting to the Head of Technology Enablement and Strategy, this role will work closely with senior leaders to shape the vision, governance, and execution framework that drives business value and supports key initiatives. This is a high-impact role for a collaborative leader who thrives in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.

:Lead the coordination and execution of the Mining division's strategic vision, ensuring alignment with long-term business goals and operational realities.
Partner with senior Mining leaders to define strategic priorities and translate them into actionable plans with clear ownership and measurable outcomes.
Establish and manage a governance framework to monitor progress, track KPIs, and proactively address risks and roadblocks.
Guide and coach project sponsors and managers to ensure successful delivery of strategic initiatives and alignment with business objectives.
Develop and implement a benefits realization process to evaluate the impact of strategic projects and ensure value delivery.
Support the execution of the Mining Leadership by aligning resources and timelines with strategic intent.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across departments and regions to ensure consistent execution and communication of strategic initiatives.
Prepare and deliver high-quality presentations, reports, and updates to executive leadership and external partners, including Caterpillar.
Identify and escalate critical issues or misalignments that may impact the success of strategic initiatives, offering solutions and mitigation plans.
Maintain a strong understanding of Finning's Mining operations, customer expectations, and market dynamics to inform strategic decisions.
Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement across the Mining organization.
Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing insights, recommendations, and support to drive strategic clarity and execution excellence.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is required.
MBA or equivalent is considered a strong asset.
5+ years of relevant experience in the mining industry, with a focus on strategy, operations, or business transformation.
Proven track record of developing and executing strategic plans in complex, cross-functional environments.
Experience working directly with senior leadership teams and influencing decision-making at the executive level.
Demonstrated ability to lead without formal authority, guiding teams and stakeholders toward shared goals.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and project management tools.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience in governance, risk management, and change management practices is an asset.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting business needs.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering measurable business outcomes.
High level of emotional intelligence, collaboration, and adaptability in fast-paced, evolving environments.
Note:This position is based out of our Edmonton head office location.
Permanent, full-time role.
