About the Role

The incumbent is responsible for facilitating the Executive Director, Development and Executive Director, Advancement\'s relationship management with donor prospects determined to have the ability to make gifts at the major and principal gift levels ($100,000 - $5,000,000+). The incumbent works closely with the EDs to implement approved donor strategy and to develop and deliver Advancement priority initiatives, special projects and partnerships. The incumbent is responsible for supporting the EDs by working with the Advancement senior leaders as they develop and implement strategies for securing financial support from a portfolio of donor prospects. Assisting the EDs with action steps may include programming opportunities for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding these relationships.

As a member of the central Advancement team, the incumbent provides support to the EDs in developing and implementing strategies that will facilitate and generate maximum support for the University. The incumbent communicates with academic and administrative leadership to ensure that donor funded project and donor-related-activity deadlines/deliverables are met. The incumbent also ensures the success of VIP discussions by consolidating, and collecting (from staff and faculty leadership) information and context and ensuring the President, VP, Chancellor and other leaders are fully prepared for project and gift discussions.

Qualifications

Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant discipline and 5 years of related fundraising experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (oral and written), and relationship management skills.
  • Proficient in the use of word, database, spreadsheet, and presentation applications and prospect management systems.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage issues effectively.
