At Torngat Metals, we are developing the Strange Lake project to meet the urgent global demand for responsibly sourced rare earths that are essential to the energy transition. We are currently seeking talented individuals who are eager to contribute to our highly strategic project and play a role in shaping a resilient and responsible rare earth industry in Canada.

Torngat Metals is seeking a qualified Strategic Business Development Executive to join its team located in Montreal. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), this role is responsible for supporting the CMO in business development and negotiating customer offtake agreements. The role will evolve with the project's advancement into operations.

What You'll Do:

Lead pre-production sales (offtake agreements) Developing and managing long-term relationships with direct and indirect customer partners, in the permanent magnet industry (core market), as well as for other applications for rare earths and other by-products Track and assess new entrants in the permanent magnet industry Support the refinement of the marketing strategy, including for the core and non-core products Proactively gathering information (e.g. other rare earth companies' offtakes) and developing customer analysis Supporting CMO in structuring, analysis and negotiation of offtake agreements Representing the company at customer industry events and forums (e.g. permanent magnet conferences, automotive supply chain conferences, etc.) Maintaining company's CRM and if required, future migration to new platform (deep relationships with dozens of customer accounts, not hundreds) Other support to CMO on an add needed basis including strategy and external/government relations Collaboration with other departments, including communications and engineering Global markets: US, France, Germany, rest of Europe, Japan, South Korea
