Focus Hub Inc. is looking for a creative and community-conscious
Storyteller/Content Creator
to help capture, craft, and share stories that matter. From producing short-form videos and capturing live events, to co-developing community-led storytelling projects, your work will help bring Focus Hub's mission to life across digital platforms.
You'll collaborate closely with the executive team, artists, cultural groups, and grassroots partners to translate our vision into compelling multimedia content.
You can expect to perform following activities as part of this role:
Develop and produce short videos, reels, and visual content highlighting community programs, events, and impact stories.
Capture high-quality footage and photography at Focus Hub events, workshops, and exhibitions.
Edit content for use across platforms (Instagram, YouTube, website, etc.).
Interview participants, partners, and artists with cultural sensitivity and respect.
Co-create storytelling assets (photo essays, mini-docs, behind-the-scenes footage, testimonials).
Support content archiving and digital asset management.
Contribute creative ideas to upcoming campaigns, exhibits, and public engagement initiatives.
YOU'LL BE A GREAT MATCH IF...
Demonstrated experience in video production (camera, lighting, sound) and editing (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar).
Skilled in photography and content creation for social media.
Strong interpersonal skills; able to build trust with interview subjects and collaborators.
Ability to work independently and manage projects on a timeline.
Nice to Haves
Experience with motion graphics, animation, or AR/VR storytelling.
Fluency in an additional language (Indigenous, newcomer, or community-specific languages).
A background in journalism, communications, digital arts, or related field.
You have a passion for ethical, community-led storytelling.
You have experience working with culturally diverse or equity-deserving communities.
