The Stores at Baycrest physically controls and maintains inventory items efficiently from point of origin to point of consumption conforming to customer requirements. Key attributes include providing and maintaining good customer service, smooth flow of goods, and avoiding stock outs. The Stores department is responsible for the physical handling of all incoming shipments, the identification of the material, verification of quantities, and the routing of material to the place of use or storage.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Receive and log all supplies and equipment deliveries
Check for quality control on deliveries including damaged items, kosher labeling, etc
Record and report any short shipments, errors, loss, and backorders to Purchasing department
Store and rotate stock received maintaining an organized storeroom
Maintain Stockless program ('JIT') Par analysis and minimum/maximum updates/changes
Record cases and supplies rotated on Monthly Statistic Sheets
Deliver all goods to all user departments across the Baycrest campus
Maintain accurate records of stock issued and received, perform inventory counts when required
Clean and inspect all manual and electronic equipment, cleaning delivery carts
Assist truck drivers with pallets using both manual and electronic forklifts (when trained)
Adhere to infection control practices, policies and procedures
Qualifications include but are not limited to:
Completion of High School Diploma
Experience with Meditech Inventory Management Systems preferred
Experience with Tofino Just In Time (JIT) system preferred
Experience with using Materials Handling Equipment (scanners, barcode labels) preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent organization and time management skills, ability to prioritize and work with initiative
Excellent keyboarding skills, including accuracy in inputting data
Ability to cope with physical demands of the position, including bending, twisting, heavy lifting (up to 25 kgs), pushing and pulling carts, etc
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to report any identified work safety concerns
Safety footwear mandatory
