The receiving, storing, rotating, counting, transporting, resupplying, maintaining and issuing of supplies while accurately documenting activities as per set policies.
REQUIREMENTS:
Grade 12 education
Minimum 1 year experience in materials management in a medical stores or warehouse/shipping and receiving environment. Experience within the last three years
Knowledge of materials management functions in a warehouse environment
Ability to ship, receive, count, pick and pack orders with speed and accuracy
Proficiency in oral and written communications in English
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Ablility to work independently and as part of a team
Moderate computer skills and ablility to effectively operate materials management software
Provision of his/her own safety footwear as per Safety Policies
Electric Pallet Jack License
PREFERRED:
Experience with Meditech Materials Management software or other MMIS/ERP/MRP Materials Management systems
Materials Management certification/related course from an accredited college
Previous experience in materials management in a hospital stores environment
Understanding of the complete supply chain cycle
Experience with a carousel system
Competency with Microsoft Windows, Office, Internet Explorer
Experience using mobile scanning devices
