Maintain regular hours of operation. Communicate relevant store and product information through signs, displays, tags and merchandising. Maintain adequate staffing levels to minimize wait times and improve customer service. Cater to customer needs, seek regular feedback and educate customers on industry standards and diverse product choices.

Schedules will be flexible in order to support staff with maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Work will always stay at work. There will be no expectation to communicate or perform functions of the role when not scheduled. Professional development and other educational opportunities will be regularly made available. Staff will be aware of the history of cannabis, historical marginalization and current social trends. Staff are expected to support minimizing cannabis stigma through ethical consumption and abiding to regulations. Policies and procedures should be easy to understand, practical in nature and designed to create an efficient sales and operating environment. Store layout and customer service will serve to create an efficient and enjoyable shopping experience.

Responsibilities:



Sales Floor:



Take a lead role ensuring the sales floor is welcoming, fun and professional. Take a lead role ensuring all products are displayed, accounted for and merchandised effectively. Take a lead role ensuring display tags are accurate and communicate effectively.

Back of House:



Take a lead role ensuring storage/stocking areas and behind the counter drawers are organized, labelled, tidy and easy to access. Take a lead role ensuring accessories, display cases and other areas are regularly tended to.

Scheduling



Support Store Manager to ensure adequate staffing levels and all shifts are filled. Support Store Manager to ensure the coordination of any changes in schedule.

Receiving Orders



Support Store Manager to ensure Cannabis and Accessories are received at the store. Ensure Purchase Orders (POs) have been counted for accuracy and checked into Greenline.

Inventory Audits



Take a lead role ensuring inventory audits are completed and reported on a bi-monthly basis for all products.

Incident Log



Support Store Manager to ensure the incident log is maintained for all applicable incidents.

Cash Management



Support Store Manager to ensure cash management policies and procedures are documented. Support Store Manager to ensure all cash onsite is documented, accounted for, locked ]and in view of cameras. Support Store Manager to ensure bank deposits occur regularly.

Health and Safety



Support Store Manager to ensure compliance for health and safety regulations. Take a lead role ensuring Monthly Staff Meetings have an Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) update.

Cleaning and Organization



Take a lead role ensuring the retail environment, including displays, cases and products are free from dust, fingerprints and other blemishes. Take a lead role ensuring employee common areas are tended to and have regular cleaning schedules. Take a lead role ensuring front and back outside entrances are presentable and free of snow, garbage and other debris.

Returns



Take a lead role ensuring RMAs/Returns of Cannabis Products are processed. Take a lead role ensuring Returns of Accessory Products are processed.

As Directed



Store Manager, GM and/or Executive will periodically give special assignments, adjust responsibilities and tasks to meet the needs of Rural Leaf. Regularly collaborate with employees from Head Office or other Retail Stores regarding promotional, sales or other initiatives set by Rural Leaf.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
