Job Description

The In-Store Sales Specialist is embedded at assigned

HVAC distributors or supply houses

to drive Kepler product pull-through sales.
This role focuses on

supporting contractor buyers at the counter

, increasing Kepler mindshare, and accelerating distributor sell-out.

This is a

B2B channel sales role

, not retail sales.

Key Responsibilities

1. Contractor-Focused In-Store Sales

Be present at distributor counters to support daily contractor purchases Introduce and promote Kepler heat pumps, ACs, furnaces, and bundles Assist contractors with product selection, sizing direction, and application fit Influence purchase decisions at the point of sale
2. Distributor Counter Support

Work closely with counter staff and inside sales teams Help answer contractor questions related to Kepler products Support quoting, substitution, and alternative product recommendations Reinforce Kepler as a

preferred brand

at the counter
3. Product & Program Promotion

Promote Kepler dealer programs, pricing tiers, rebates, and stocking programs Explain bundle strategies (e.g. HP + coil / HP + AC) Communicate lead times, availability, and promotions clearly Support new product launches and transition from competing brands
4. Relationship Building

Build daily relationships with key contractors visiting the branch Identify high-potential installers and report to territory sales manager Support onboarding of new Kepler dealers Act as the

Kepler face inside the distributor branch


5. In-Store Execution

Ensure Kepler materials are visible at the counter Maintain product boards, flyers, quick-reference sheets Coordinate demo units or lunch-and-learn sessions Support counter training when needed
6. Reporting & Market Intelligence

Track daily interactions, contractor feedback, and objections Monitor competitor activity at the counter Share pricing, inventory, and sell-out insights Provide weekly summary to Kepler sales team
KPIs

Sell-out volume at assigned distributor branches Contractor conversion at counter Number of active Kepler contractors supported Distributor staff engagement Growth of stocking and repeat orders
Qualifications

Required:



Experience in HVAC distribution, counter sales, or B2B inside sales Strong understanding of contractor buying behavior Comfortable working in distributor / warehouse environments Strong communication and influence skills

Preferred:



Heat pump or system sales experience Familiarity with Ontario HVAC market Experience working with wholesalers or multi-branch distributors

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.20-$25.54 per hour
