Job Summary

Below The Belt Bay Centre is seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to lead our downtown Victoria retail team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales performance. This role requires strong leadership skills, a keen understanding of retail management, and the ability to motivate and develop a team.

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of store operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and sales strategies. Supervise and train store staff to ensure high levels of performance and customer satisfaction. Conduct regular assessments of sales performance and implement strategies to achieve targets. Oversee payroll processes and ensure accurate record-keeping for all employees. Maintain an organized and efficient store environment that enhances the shopping experience. Collaborate with upper management on budgeting, forecasting, and purchasing decisions. Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain a positive store reputation. Analyze sales data and market trends to make informed decisions regarding product selection and promotions.

Requirements

Proven experience in retail management or a similar supervisory role. Strong administrative skills with proficiency in payroll systems. Excellent team management abilities with a focus on coaching and development. Solid understanding of sales management principles and practices. Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory control and financial reporting. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in store operations. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with staff and customers. A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
