Role and Responsibilities:

Maximizes retail productivity, sales, and profit, while ensuring that standards of service excellence are continuously met and improved upon. Stays informed and knowledgeable about Cannabis law, and all federal and local laws, regulations, as well as industry news and evolving product landscape. Always represent the Company in a professional manner. Act as a liaison between the company and your customers and/or community. Address issues with vendors, co-workers and employees with honesty, integrity and in a timely manner and improve services through feedback from customers. Responsible for the training and development of all colleagues on their responsibilities. Manage a group of colleagues. Responsible for overseeing and ensuring cash management procedures are being followed including, transacting, opening, closing, depositing, reporting, maintaining, and reconciling cash with POS system. Identifies staffing, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training needs of qualified candidates. Facilitates on-going training and development of current staff. Responsible for human resources functions including but not limited to recommendations on hiring & termination; support and development; training; scheduling; time sheets; management of employee issues; performance/disciplinary issues, management of product. Assign responsibilities to employees to ensure that work is prioritized. Motivate, coach, counsel and develop staff to instill teamwork, create high employee morale and encourage top performers. Document performance issues for potential discipline after all previous coaching attempts have failed. Ensure correct prices and labels are in place. Ensure that there is total compliance with all relevant legislation and standards Product availability; ordering and follow-up

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Smart Choices Cannabis Certificate Minimum 1 Year managerial experience in a store with strong operational knowledge Must be of legal age (19+) Provide a copy of clean Criminal Background Check prior to start date Experience in a retail environment: 1 year Available to work Weekdays, weekends Knowledge of cannabis and products is considered an asset
