We are seeking a sales-driven Store Manager with a strong background in power tools and industrial sales. As a leader in our hybrid retail environment, you will serve industry professionals, providing them with high-quality tools, expert service, and a top-tier customer experience.

As a Store Manager, you will play a critical role in driving sales and customer satisfaction while managing store operations efficiently. We are looking for a sales-oriented leader with strong product knowledge in tools and industrial sales. Your role will be to maximize profitability, develop strong customer relationships, and lead a high-performing team.

You will manage a high-traffic, 15,000 sq.ft. retail store with nearly 12,000 products, ensuring sales growth, excellent customer service, and operational excellence.

The Store Manager oversees and ensures the completion of tasks performed by a team of 20 or more members, including the Inventory Manager, Warehouse Manager/Lead, Head Cashier, and Office Administrator.

Manages Sales Team



Drive sales growth and profitability through effective customer engagement via the sales team. Achieve sales targets and maintain healthy profit margins. Provide training on sales techniques, product knowledge, and upselling strategies. Ensure the sales team builds and maintains strong relationships with contractors, tradespeople, and commercial customers. Stay informed about industry trends, promotions, and competitor benchmarks. Ensure the store meets standards, is properly merchandised, and is prepared for sales events.

Operations & Inventory Oversight



Oversee shipping, receiving, and warehouse organization. Conduct daily floor walks to ensure smooth operations. Supervise resets and updates to planograms. Monitor and enforce loss prevention and theft control strategies. Collaborate with the Inventory Manager and Purchasing to maintain accurate stock levels. Ensure staff complete price changes and update promotion tags correctly.

Team Leadership & Development



Recruit, train, and coach a high-performing sales team Conduct daily check-ins to provide guidance and support Promote a team-oriented and professional work culture Drive staff development and training to enhance product knowledge and sales skills Set sales targets for your sales team

Store Administration & Compliance



Organize daily clerical tasks (hiring forms, payroll updates, emails, action plans). Audit store processes to ensure compliance with company standards. Oversee scheduling and performance management. Prepare and manage job postings and recruitment efforts. Stay ahead of industry trends and regularly evaluate competitors. Managing store budget, controlling expenses.

What You Bring



3-5 years of store management experience in retails and industrial sector Proven track record of driving sales and exceeding targets Strong knowledge of tools, industrial products, and customer needs Excellent team leadership and problem-solving skills Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational and communication skills

Additional Requirements



The ideal candidate must be able to travel in Canada and the United States for tool industry conventions, quarterly meetings (British Columbia), or as required by the role. This is a full-time, permanent position (40 to 50 hours per week). The 5-day workweek includes two days off per week: Sunday (closed) and one weekday. Working on Saturdays is mandatory. One full weekend off every four weeks. Statutory holidays off. Valid driver's license required.
