About this Position
The Store Manager plays an integral part of the operations and successes of the business. This position requires a people & outcome focused candidate. The Store Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the store including employee management and supervision, scheduling, sales, maintaining inventory, stocking, record keeping and customer service to both employees and customers.
Position Responsibilities
Implement all operational and industry rules, regulations, policies and procedures to advance the company's mission, vision, goals and objectives
Opening and closing the store, maintaining POS systems, and auditing
Manage store operational compliances as per regulations
Manage in-store staffing needs in conjunction with Human Resources, provide input regarding hiring, disciplinary action, advancement, and terminations
Coach, educate, and inspire employees on an ongoing basis to meet their highest performance level
Regularly assess staff KPI's to ensure they are being met and conduct performance reviews
Ensure the safety and satisfaction of staff and store visitors
Deliver exceptional customer service and address customer questions and concerns
Guide and direct customers in their cannabis purchasing journey
Meet and exceed sales goals
Maintain store displays, visuals, products, signage, and products
Assist in the development of budgets and sales forecasts; cash management
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of in-store inventory
Regular product ordering to maintain inventory in accordance with approved budget
Manage shipping/receiving process, inventory, and stocking
Keep up to date with industry changes and product knowledge
Delivery driving may be required on an as needed basis
Some travel may be required to service other cannabis store locations, upon request
Other duties may include, but are not limited to, ensuring cleanliness of the store, good record keeping, special events and promotions, and other ad hoc duties
Qualifications & Requirements
Must be 19+ years of age
Valid Selling It Right certification
Minimum 1 year cannabis retail experience
2+ Years of retail management experience
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent time management and organization
Proficiency with Microsoft applications
Valid Class 5 Drivers License is an asset
Outside the box problem solving is a plus!
