The Colombian is seeking a Store Manager for their high volume, fast-paced, locations in Edmonton. We are a brand that knows how to turn coffee into pure magic. We are a values based company who is focused on retail growth, looking for the right applicant who can take ownership over our cafe, working within a multi-cafe structure.
Successful applicants for this role will be required to attend multiple in-person interviews and a trial shift.
Summary:
40 hr/week salaried position
The Store Manager partners with the Operations Manager and the Director to ensure a seamless operation of the cafe and to meet and exceed the goals of the business by ensuring alignment with the mission and vision of The Colombian.
This is a hands-on position, responsible for leadership of cafe operations with customer service at the forefront
A successful store manager at The Colombian will have a positive, solution driven mindset, ownership over the store, and eagerness to work within the values of The Colombian.
A successful Store Manager will:
Manage inventory, personnel, and day to day operations of the store
Lead on shift training for new-hire shadow shifts, assist with off-shift, after hours beverage training. Maintain a Training Passport with each new employee.
Set the example to the whole team of how The Colombian greets and takes care of customers. Provide a high level of customer service with the company values as the guiding principles. Guides the cafe team with wording, vocabulary, and demeanor.
Have complete and ongoing awareness of current menu, merchandise and coffee options for the purpose of teaching and guiding the team and customers in their experience.
Prepare foods, beverages and baked goods to the high standard laid out by owners and Operations Manager. Communicate and maintain standards with all employees.
Looks for ways to improve customer experience through presentation of menu, cafe, and cleanliness.
Clean and maintain the desired environment adhering to AHS regulations. Cafe is kept organized, tidy, and well-stocked under their watch.
Requirements:
Customer Service experience: 2 years
Food safety experience: 1 year
Inventory management and Merchandising experience: 1 year
A strong interest in customer experience
Strong time management, organization, and problem solving skills
