We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager to lead our team and oversee daily operations across our Liquor retail store. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management. This role requires a proactive approach to team management, customer service, merchandising, and operational efficiency to ensure the store meets its sales and service goals. The Manager will play a pivotal role in driving sales, managing staff, and maintaining a positive shopping environment. Duties
Lead and supervise store staff, including recruiting, training, and developing team members to ensure high performance and excellent customer service.
Oversee daily store operations, including cash handling, cashiering, POS transactions, and inventory management.
Develop and implement merchandising strategies to maximize product visibility and sales.
Manage purchasing decisions and coordinate with suppliers to maintain optimal stock levels while controlling costs through effective budgeting and pricing strategies.
Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, policies, and updates; foster a collaborative team environment.
Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Execute marketing initiatives to promote store offerings and increase foot traffic.
Monitor sales performance metrics; analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
Maintain organizational standards for cleanliness, safety, and store appearance in compliance with company policies.
Experience
Proven supervisory or managerial experience in retail or related fields with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
Strong background in retail sales management, merchandising, marketing, and store operations.
Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling procedures, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks such as payroll and budgeting.
Negotiation skills with experience in purchasing and vendor relations.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to train staff effectively and manage teams efficiently.
Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in supervising staff through interviewing, training & development programs is highly valued.
