Overview

We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Store Clerk to join our retail team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing sales transactions, and maintaining a well-organized store environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, basic math proficiency, and experience in retail sales or grocery store operations. Bilingual abilities and supervisory experience are a plus, as they enhance customer interactions and team leadership. Responsibilities

Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales transactions accurately and quickly Assist customers with product inquiries, product demos, and upselling opportunities to enhance sales Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability Handle cashiering duties including cash handling, processing returns, and issuing receipts with proper phone etiquette Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer needs promptly and courteously Support inventory management through stock replenishment and inventory checks Assist in supervising store operations when needed, including supervising team members during shifts Promote store promotions and special offers to maximize sales opportunities Ensure the store remains clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards

Qualifications

Prior experience in retail sales or grocery store environments preferred; supervisory experience is a plus Proficiency with POS systems and basic retail math skills for cash handling and transactions Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in person and over the phone Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve a diverse customer base Experience with merchandising, stocking, product demos, upselling, and cashiering preferred Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining attention to detail Basic math skills necessary for daily cash handling and retail transactions
