The Lethbridge north location is currently hiring store associates for our Hardware and Housewares departments. Applicants must be available to work during the day on weekdays and every other weekend. Our store hours are Monday-Friday 8am-9pm, Saturday 8am-8pm and Sunday 9am-6pm. Defined by their focus on customer service excellence, the Store Associate is responsible for delivering friendly and courteous service to Canadian Tire customers. The Store Associate position is fast-paced, involving constant interaction with customers explaining product benefits and fulfilling customer needs. Helping customers is combined with store maintenance activities such as stocking shelves, merchandising and general housekeeping. Responsibilities and Tasks \xc2\xb7 Meet, greet and thank customers and provide friendly, informed service to them. \xc2\xb7 Guide customers to the location of requested items. \xc2\xb7 Suggest value-added and related products by actively listening to customer needs. \xc2\xb7 Locate products in the warehouse. \xc2\xb7 Respond to and handle customer inquiries, requests and concerns in a timely manner, over the phone and in person. \xc2\xb7 Learn about new products on a regular basis. \xc2\xb7 Keep up to date with in-store promotions, deals and product locations. \xc2\xb7 Participate in meetings and training as required. \xc2\xb7 Ensure that retail basics tasks are executed efficiently (e.g., stocking, labels, facing etc.). \xc2\xb7 Identify low stock levels and maintain inventory accuracy. \xc2\xb7 Comply with company, store and department policies. \xc2\xb7 Follow store health & safety program and report any observed or potential hazards immediately. \xc2\xb7 Maintain a professional appearance (uniform, hygiene, grooming and name tag). \xc2\xb7 Ability to fulfil a cashier role an asset. \xc2\xb7 Complete other tasks as required. Physical Demands and Working Conditions In compliance with the store\xe2\x80\x99s Health and Safety Policies and Procedures: \xc2\xb7 Stand/walk for 8 hours. \xc2\xb7 Lift and/or carry of merchandise items, as required, on a regular, frequent and unassisted basis. Merchandise item may vary in weight from \xe2\x80\x9clight\xe2\x80\x9d to \xe2\x80\x9cheavy\xe2\x80\x9d. \xc2\xb7 Lift and turn repeatedly throughout the shift. \xc2\xb7 Lift above the shoulder, from floor to shoulder and floor to waist. \xc2\xb7 Ability to go up and down a ladder while carrying merchandise. \xc2\xb7 Walk and carry things at the same time and push/pull, as required. \xc2\xb7 Twist, turn, reach and work above shoulder level.
