Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly, motivated and reliable person to join our small team. This is a unique business revolving around the dog grooming and dog show industry. Experience is an asset but not a deal breaker as long as you're a fast learner and love dogs. This role involves engaging with customers, providing exceptional service, and assisting with product sales through many different channels. Unlike some retail shops our store sometimes requires speaking with customers for 30mins or an hour in order to get them sorted. You must be ok with communicating, listening and engaging with customers for long periods of time. The ideal candidate will need to possess strong communication skills, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Duties

Helping customers in store, on the phone, emails and messages via social media Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling and processing payments Processing and packing online orders Stocking, inventory and daily cleaning of the storefront. Moving of heavy boxes, loading and unloading the truck. Other duties as they arrive

Skills

Must be comfortable with all types and sizes of dogs Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening Experience in retail sales, merchandising, or cashiering is a plus Able to unpack pallets and move heavy items around the store Customer service orientation with a friendly demeanour and problem-solving skills Organizational skills to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks during busy times Knowledge of dogs is a plus

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.85-$18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 16 per week
