Stone Sawyer
Job Description
Stone Sawyers will run a veneer saw to cut stone into smaller and proper sizes for packaging. Sawyers will learn and become proficient in recognizing stone quality and stone positioning while sending stone thru saw for best finished product. Sawyers will run conveyor belt to and from saw, operate a mechanical tip table holding tubs of stone for saw work, perform daily maintenance on saw and work area. Maintenance could include but is not limited to, cleanup, greasing, and changing saw blades. Sawyers may have the knowledge of or may be asked to do Chop Saw Operator or Packer duties. If required, training would be provided and/or supervision while learning work to be completed. Job Type: Full-time Salary: $16.00-$26.00 per hour Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime pay
- Yahk, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
