Overview

We are a busy stone shop located near Hunt Club and Prince of Wales. We design, produce, and install stone countertops and wall features for residential and commercial applications. We are looking to hire a full time, permanent person to help our installation teams. This involves loading up with product at our shop, travelling to work sites, offloading and installing, then driving back to the shop.

Installing stone requires involves a lot of manual material handling. Stone countertops are moved by hand across busy work sites and up and down stairs. Installers must be able to lift heavy loads of more than 100lbs. safely, and must have manual dexterity. Installers must be able to read drawings and use metric and imperial measuring systems interchangeably Installers work as a team. An installer must have the ability and willingness to work with others and cooperate to complete a job and move on to the next one. Installers have good communication skills because they use those skills constantly. Installers work with many other trades on site, and with site supervisors, to schedule cranes and other lifting equipment. Installers also communicate site issues with lead hands and supervisors.
Skills needed:

ability to lift and walk with heavy loads (very heavy loads) know how to read a measuring tape know how to use a caulking gun for adhesive application and waterproofing ability to recognize hazards and respond by doing work safely have problem solving skills. Most of the job is problem solving show up every day, on time, ready to get the work done
You would be a perfect candidate if you:

had years of experience working with stone have an excellent work ethic speak English fluently have an excellent knowledge of residential construction

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
