:

Lakeside Spirits is seeking a diligent and organized Stocking Clerk to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the store is well-stocked, organized, and that all inventory is properly handled. If you have a keen eye for detail and enjoy working behind the scenes to keep the store running smoothly, this is the job for you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and unpack deliveries, ensuring all products are correctly labeled and placed in the appropriate areas.
• Stock shelves and ensure products are displayed neatly and consistently to maintain an organized store layout.
• Rotate products to ensure older stock is used first, minimizing waste and maintaining stock quality.
• Maintain inventory levels and communicate with management regarding low stock or inventory discrepancies.
• Monitor product expiration dates and ensure that any expired products are removed from the shelves.
• Assist in labeling and pricing products as needed.
• Ensure the stockroom is clean, organized, and safe, following all safety and security procedures.
• Assist customers on the sales floor by locating products or offering assistance as needed.
• Help with seasonal or promotional displays and product placement to attract customer attention.
• Support the team with general store maintenance and cleanliness, including tidying the sales floor and backstock areas.
• Assist in opening and closing procedures, including securing inventory and locking up the store.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management to ensure the smooth operation of the store.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in stocking, warehouse, or retail environments is preferred but not required.
• Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail and accuracy.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy boxes and merchandise.
• Comfortable standing, walking, and moving items throughout the day.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Knowledge of safety and inventory control procedures is a plus.
