Position: Stock Manager
The Stock Manager is responsible for overseeing all backroom operations, ensuring efficient product flow, and maintaining optimal stock levels to support sales and customer service. The Stock Manager is accountable for organizing inventory, coordinating shipments, and supervising the stock team to ensure smooth daily operations.
Job Functions:
Oversee all stockroom operations, including receiving, processing, organizing, and replenishing merchandise.
Ensure all shipments are received accurately and efficiently according to company standards.
Safely operate and oversee the use of equipment such as
pallet jacks
for transporting merchandise.
Maintain an organized and clean stockroom that adheres to safety and operational guidelines.
Work closely with the Store Manager and management team to support inventory planning and stock movement.
Train, coach, and develop stock associates to ensure high performance and effective workflow.
Create and maintain efficient stockroom processes to maximize productivity and minimize errors.
Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, priced, and prepared for sales floor placement.
Monitor inventory levels, report discrepancies, and help support shrink reduction initiatives.
Uphold all company policies and procedures in stockroom operations.
Support store operations as needed, including assisting with floor moves, visual merchandising setup, and inventory counts.
Qualifications:
Minimum high school education or equivalent.
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in stockroom operations or inventory management (retail experience preferred).
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Ability to analyze stockroom needs and prioritize tasks effectively.
Demonstrated ability to coach and train team members.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Capable of working in a fast-paced environment, including lifting and moving heavy boxes.
Ability to safely operate a
pallet jack
and other stockroom equipment.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business needs.
