Short-Term Nanny for a Lovely Family in Downtown Toronto to Start February 1 to June 26, 2026, Earn Up to $30/Hour!

A family in Downtown Toronto with a 3-year-old is looking for a short-term nanny to be part of their team from February 1 to June 26, 2026. They're offering up to $30 per hour for the right candidate.


Schedule:


Monday: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM


Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM


Friday: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM


Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


Provide attentive, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate care for their 3-year-old child. Maintain consistent daily routines (meals, play, rest, transitions). Support language development through play, reading, songs, and daily interactions. Encourage emotional regulation and support smooth transitions throughout the day. Prepare meals/snacks for the child, following a low-pressure feeding approach. Support sensory regulation through appropriate activities (outdoor play, movement, calm play). Take the child on local outings (walks, park, library, EarlyON programs). Ensure the child's safety at all times. Keep play areas tidy and clean up after the child's activities. Communicate daily updates to parents regarding activities, mood, meals, and any concerns. Collaborate with parents and, when applicable, therapists to support developmental goals.
They are a close-knit family who value kindness, communication, and a calm home environment. Both parents are generally home during the day, but due to Dad's night work schedule and Mom's part-time university classes, they are seeking additional daytime support for their toddler. They are hoping to find a nanny who feels comfortable working in a home with parents present and who enjoys supporting a child's development in a thoughtful, collaborative way.


The ideal candidate is calm, patient, and emotionally attuned, with experience working with toddlers, ideally including children with speech delays or sensory sensitivities. Someone who is confident in managing transitions and supporting children in regulating their emotions, with a gentle, respectful approach. Reliable, punctual, safety-conscious, attentive, warm, nurturing, and genuinely enjoys working with young children.


Background in early childhood education, child development, or a related field would be preferred.


Driving is not required.
