Stevedore - Argentia

Integrated Logistics (NL) Ltd is a full-service stevedoring and materials handling company operating across the province. Integrated Logistics continues to grow its operations and is expanding its employee base. Currently, we are seeking candidates with relevant training and experience for the following Stevedore position in Argentia, Newfoundland.

Responsibilities:

Working with ships, marine cargo loading/off loading Working with equipment. trucks and/or forklifts Perform labour tasks and small tool work outside/dockside Working in laydown yards and marshalling yards Participate in Integrated Logistics flow to work program which sees workers move between tasks, equipment pieces and labour assignments throughout their shift

Typical work tasks include but are not limited to the following:

Receiving goods from ships, trucks and other transport mediums Cargo handling in bulk and packaged forms Vessel offloading duties including boarding vessels, gangways, ladders, etc Rigging & unrigging of cargo, use to tag lines to guide and place cargo as well as landing cargo Cleaning of material and debris around site and warehouse Assist in the operations and other activities as requested by the client All tasks in adherence to the HSEQ policies

Qualifications:

Class 05 driver's license with clean driver's abstract This work requires employees to handle mineral concentrates and chemical reagents in various formats Be clean shaven and wear appropriate PPE including a respirator with sealed Tyvek suits Ability to lift up to 50lbs with an average weight of 40-50lbs for undetermined periods of time Hold Provincial operating licenses or be willing to obtain (Fall Arrest, Rigging/Slinging, Forklift, AWP) Experience with working from heights an asset*
Exposure to stevedoring, logistics and/or construction Ability to embrace scope of work, flow to work and safe work practices while participating in a respective work environment Ability to be flexible for on call & after hours work as per our clients needs
