We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterilization Technician/RDA to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all medical instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and maintained in accordance with industry standards. This role is crucial in preventing infections and ensuring patient safety within our facility. This position will also include backup RDA duties. If you have a current Alberta Dental Assisting license this would be an asset to the position.
Duties
Perform sterilization processes on dental instruments.
Conduct routine inspections of sterilization equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles, including monitoring and documenting temperature, pressure, and exposure times.
Collaborate with dental staff to ensure timely availability of sterile instruments for dental procedures.
Follow infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Assist in the inventory management of sterilized supplies and report any shortages or discrepancies.
Backup RDA duties

Strong understanding of dental terminology related to sterilization processes and infection control.
Attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols and procedures accurately.
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
