Job Summary

To assist Project Leaders, Coordinators, and Supervisors in continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and compliance in Packaging processes.

A Day in the Life\xe2\x80\xa6

Review and analyze manufacturing metrics and reliability data; investigate and implement continuous improvement solutions with Project Leaders, Coordinators, and Supervisors; execute validation protocols

Job Responsibilities
Work closely with the Manufacturing Operators, Maintenance, and other supporting functions, analyzing packaging processes/equipment in order to make continuous improvements focusing on Safety, Quality and Productivity
Work with internal customers in the development, recommending and implementing continuous improvement projects
Liaison with internal customers, suppliers and contractors in the co-ordination of engineering project activities.
Work in a team approach environment to problem solving.
Assist the engineering group in evaluating productivity/reliability data using spreadsheets and databases, and performing quantitative/qualitative analysis.
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new process equipment.
Complete equipment installation and operational qualifications (IQ/OQ\xe2\x80\x99s) for new and existing machinery/processes and maintenance/operational Standard Operational Procedures (SOP\'s) as required.
Assist in process validation in packaging.
Ensure that all work is performed in full compliance with current Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP\'s), SOP\'s and in accordance with established Safety Standards.
All other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Must be enrolled in a recognized post-secondary Co-op education program (Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering)
Working knowledge of, Word, Excel and PowerPoint are essential. VBA Macros and MS Access would also be beneficial.
Strong oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of basic healthcare regulatory requirements would be helpful
