3Kinnect Science & Technology Centre is Abbotsford's premier STEM learning destination where kids ages 5-14 explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through hands-on discovery. We're a startup on a mission to ignite curiosity and build confidence in young learners through engaging, age-appropriate programming. We're launching programs that combine traditional STEM foundations with cutting-edge skills like coding, robotics, AI, and digital arts--creating experiences where learning feels like play.

What We're Looking For



We're seeking passionate

STEM & Coding Instructors

to join our founding team of educators at our Abbotsford centre. Our instructors are the heart of 3Kinnect--coaching, mentoring, and inspiring the next generation of innovators.

Do you love working with kids? Are you excited about teaching problem-solving and computational thinking? Have you mentored youth or led educational programs?

This could be the role for you.



Schedule & Availability



We need instructors who can work flexible hours across:

Homeschool Programs:

Weekdays, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM

After-School & Evening Programs:

Weekdays, 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Weekend Workshops:

Saturdays/Sundays, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Seasonal Camps:

Summer, Spring Break, Winter Break (extended hours)

Current commitment:

3-15 hours/week (varies by enrolment)

3Kinnect is a

new, growing business

. Hours are not guaranteed at launch and will depend on program enrolment. We're seeking instructors who:

Are comfortable starting on a

casual, part-time basis

Understand hours will increase as programs reach capacity Are excited to grow alongside the business Want to be part of building something meaningful from the ground up
As enrolment stabilizes and programs fill, we'll be able to offer more consistent scheduling and expanded hours.

Responsibilities



Teach and mentor

kids in STEM subjects including coding, robotics, engineering, chemistry, physics, and digital arts

Deliver curriculum

across block-based coding languages, JavaScript, Python, Scratch, Minecraft Education, robotics kits, and hands-on science experiments

Complete training

on 3Kinnect's proprietary curriculum and teaching approach

Create a positive, inclusive environment

where all learners--including neurodivergent students--can thrive

Provide feedback

to parents on student progress and development

Maintain classroom organization:

set up activities, manage materials, ensure cleanliness and safety

Support operations:

assist with classroom prep, equipment maintenance, and light facility duties as needed

Collaborate with the team

to refine programming and improve student experiences

Qualifications



We're looking for:



?

Leadership & initiative:

Demonstrated ability to supervise, organize, or lead groups (camps, clubs, teams, tutoring). Individuals who take ownership and contribute proactively.

STEM & coding skills:

Knowledge of or willingness to learn introductory coding concepts (Scratch, JavaScript, Python, block-based languages). Experience with robotics, AI, Minecraft, 3D printing, or digital arts is a bonus!

Education/childcare experience:

Proven experience working with children ages 5-14 through babysitting, teaching, mentoring, coaching, tutoring, or youth programming. Patient, adaptable approach to diverse learning styles and abilities.

Collaboration:

Works well in teams and enjoys supporting colleagues.

?

Communication skills:

Strong verbal and written communication for interacting with students, parents, and team members.

Flexibility & energy:

Thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments. Comfortable with changing schedules and startup dynamics.

Passion for kids:

Genuinely enjoys working with children and helping them discover their potential.
