Weston Wall Systems Ltd. specializes in drywall, steel stud, insulation, and acoustic ceiling solutions. We are seeking reliable & efficient skilled Steel Stud Framers to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing frameworks for buildings, including walls & roofs. The Framer will work closely with other construction professionals to ensure projects are completed accurately and on time.

Minimum Education required

: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

u Employees are required to own tools/equipment like tools, Safety equipment/gear Steel-toed safety boots, and hard hat.

u Reliable, efficient and ability to work well in team, as well as independently.

u Must be Canadian citizens, permanent or temporary residents of Canada, and other candidates with a valid Canadian work permit/ legally authorized to work in Canada

Job Duties:

Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials Instruct & Supervise other workers & apprentices. Maintain, repair and renovate metal and and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other commercial establishments. Install exterior and interior steel studs Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings Install door & window frames and other hardware Install acoustic tile, hangers for suspended ceilings and metal studs for composition wallboard or lath Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools May be required to prepare construction schedules forecast & material order, monitor progress & conduct review of project documents, and report to superintendent

Work Requirements:

Minimum 2 years proven experience in carpentry is essential. Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematic interpretation is required. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation is necessary. Expertise in Acoustic Ceiling & wall partitions installation is advantageous.
