Job Description

We have an opening for a Red Seal Journeyperson Fabricator/Fitter to join our team. This is a permanent, full time, and hourly position working 40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, fitting/joining, and welding industrial equipment.

Monday to Friday / 6:00am to 2:15pm with option for overtime

Responsibilities:

Read, interpret and execute shop drawings and bill of materials Layout, advise, and plan sequence of operations based on shop drawings Set up and operate welding equipment and fabricating machines Build, weld, fit and assemble components and equipment Monitor accuracy, verify exactness and build to specifications in accordance with shop drawings Checking work for quality and accuracy Ensure that all fabrication equipment is maintained Work in a safe and effective manner Other duties may be requested by the Company that is consistent with the Employee's abilities and responsibilities

Candidate Qualifications:

Red Seal certification required High school diploma or equivalent Experienced FCAW all positions is an asset Confidence to work independently or as part of a team Excellent attention to detail and ability to complete essential duties in an efficient and timely manner Proficiency in the use of tools and equipment used in steel fabrication Experienced in sawmill equipment fabrication is an asset Forklift certification or experience an asset
