Steel Shop Labourer - Description

We are currently looking for a committed professional with a strong work ethic and an ability to learn to join our steel shop in our door manufacturing facility in Port Kells. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual who works well in a team environment, has a positive attitude, and a willingness to go above and beyond to meet our customers' needs and expectations.

Key Responsibilities

? Assembly of steel doors including welding and use of saw

? Willing to work with steel on a full time basis

? Accurately completing all required paperwork

? When downtime, assist in the warehouse with general labour duties

? Hours of this position are typically 7 am to 3:30 pm

Candidate Attributes

? Able to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision.

? Willingness to work extended work hours to get the work done during peak times.

? Is open to feedback and takes responsibility for personal development.

? Employees in this position must be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and heavier loads with assistance. You must have the ability to climb, bend, squat, reach, grasp and lift.

? Must be able to handle multiple tasks.

? Works easily with others in a high paced work environment.

? Be energetic, self-motivated, and act with a high degree of self-responsibility.

? Maintain a business-like manner at all times.
